Mala Vadgama is a visual artist from London, England. Her large body of work centres around photography, however, she often uses painting, sculpture and mixed-media for her artistic expression.

Mala has worked in the commercial field of photography from the pre-digital age but now focuses more on conceptual art.  Her work explores themes of mental health, sexuality, culture and spirituality, among other concepts.

Her exhibited gallery work on mental health illnesses within the BAME (Black, Asian, Minority and Ethnic) communities of women, has brought to the forefront, often misunderstood and hidden cultural views on mental health. She passionately continues to explore this topic further using various art mediums to bring about awareness to some of these issues.
